About the Role:
Apollo Agriculture is seeking experienced customer experience professionals to join our Telesales team as Telesales Agents. As a Telesales Agent at Apollo Agriculture, your role encompasses a range of outbound calling activities aimed at engaging with farmers and driving business growth. You will play a pivotal role in capturing farmer profiles, upselling and cross-selling products and services, verifying loan packages, and contributing to excellent customer experiences.
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Reporting Lines: This role reports to the Telesales Associate
Contract Duration: Short-term

Responsibilities:

  • Make outbound calls to interested farmers to accurately capture their profile in the system; including upselling and cross-selling the Company’s products and services on the FMF, Deposit and approval verification calls, and converting farmers by way of making the requisite payment as defined in the assigned role.
  • Verify farmers’ loan packages prior to disbursement and ensure they are as per the farmer's requirements
  • Responsibly manage and resolve inquiries from farmers and customers via telephone and SMS.
  • Address and resolve complaints from farmers, customers, and partners.
  • Provide detailed product and service information, adhering to Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure high-quality results by adhering to the standards and guidelines on communication, data, and call quality as well as identify customer service and sales process gaps and recommend improvement in procedures. In case of process gaps where a possible solution is not in sight, you can escalate it for the relevant team to follow up.
  • Identify and escalate priority issues, ensuring effective follow-up on customer concerns.
  • Document all customer interactions accurately, adhering to established procedures. Uphold communication, data, and call quality standards, identifying process gaps and recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to handle assigned calls and tasks. Troubleshoot Mobile App-related issues, offering initial resolutions to customers. Demonstrate respect and exceptional customer care while fulfilling duties. Safeguard both personal and shared company assets.

Requirements:

  • Hold an Undergraduate degree or a diploma certificate.
  • Proficiency in English, Kiswahili, and a vernacular language.
  • Self-motivated and capable of remote work with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows or Ubuntu OS.
  • Experienced in data entry work
  • Access to a stable internet connection.
