Summary of Role & Key Responsibilities
The CTO plays a pivotal leadership role, with end-to-end accountability for enterprise technology strategy, core business systems, and digital infrastructure that underpin the firm’s operations and client delivery. Operating at the intersection of business line, geographic and function leadership, the CTO ensures that the firm’s technology ecosystem is secure, scalable, and strategically aligned to support growth, innovation, and efficiency.
The CTO partners with Global Business Line Leaders, Function Leaders, Region/Country Leaders, and the Chief Digital Officer to drive transformation, enable digital innovation, and ensure operational excellence across the firm’s internal and client-facing technology ecosystem.
The CTO is a strategic enabler and enterprise integrator - driving secure, resilient, and high-performance IT that empowers the business. The role balances long-term strategy with short-term operational performance, ensuring that technology remains a source of agility, efficiency, and competitive differentiation.
Given the scale, complexity and scope of this senior role, the successful candidate must have extensive experience of similar roles in similar organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the global enterprise IT and business systems strategy, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, and financial platforms, aligning IT investments with business and function priorities.
- Oversee architecture, integration, and performance of core systems architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data governance across all functions, business lines and geographies.
- Champion data-driven decision-making by enabling robust data architecture, analytics capabilities, and intelligent workflows across the firm.
- Collaborate with the Chief Digital Officer to create synergies between internal systems and client-facing solutions, fostering innovation through shared platforms and scalable technology.
- Ensure enterprise-wide cybersecurity, resilience, and business continuity across all functions, business lines and geographies.
- Work closely with Business Line and Geographic Leaders to tailor IT enablement to local regulatory and operational needs while maintaining global standards, consistency and efficiency.
- Lead the evolution of the firm’s technology operating model, including governance, agile delivery, partner ecosystems, and digital talent development.
- Act as a change agent to build digital fluency and accelerate automation, partnering with the business to drive adoption of enterprise platforms, and identify use cases that enhance productivity and reduce cost.
- Business Line Leaders: Align technology platforms to support scalable delivery, analytics, and automation capabilities within service offerings.
- Geographic Leaders: Ensure compliance with local regulations, infrastructure readiness, and support for in-market delivery teams.
- Sales & Marketing: Enable CRM, campaign automation, and insights platforms that support targeted growth and pipeline visibility.
- Digital Products: Collaborate on shared platforms, emerging technologies, and digital innovation strategies that benefit both internal operations and client-facing offerings.
- Finance, HR and Operations: Digitise and streamline internal processes through integrated systems and workflow automation.
Key Requirements, Skills Knowledge & Expertise
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the Professional Services and/or BPO industries
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in a senior technology management leadership role across a global footprint
- Minimum of a B.A/B.S in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field of study is required. An advanced degree is preferred. Professional certificates are preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience of managing a major function through change
- Experience of working in a complex, multi-country professional services, financial services or BPO organisation with complex processing requirements
- Passion, dynamism and drive

- Possess the skills and personality to operate effectively in a very fast-paced complex global business with an in-depth knowledge of program management
- Have operated in mid-sized businesses so that he/she is able to deal with smaller more entrepreneurial businesses

- Have an extremely high level of energy; ability to manage and quickly gain respect among highly educated and subject matter expert teams; be a charismatic motivator and thought leader in the organisation
- Excellent communication skills in both written and oral form, with staff members, customers, suppliers and the management team with the ability to make decisions, take action and get results
- Have a robust sense of humour
- Mobility, global travel will be required.
