Ampersand is a pioneer provider of electric motorcycles and charging infrastructure (battery swap stations), especially for motorcycle taxi drivers. Moto taxis are a primary means of public transport in African cities, and it is estimated that these drivers spend >$6Bn p.a. on fuel alone in East Africa. Ampersand has developed an electric solution that is more powerful, fun to drive, and more cost-effective than the incumbent. Ampersand drivers routinely earn 25-30% more income by going electric.

The company started in Kigali, Rwanda and expanded into Nairobi, Kenya in 2023. Today it has ~1,600 e-motorcycles on the road and 22 battery swap stations. About the role

Ampersand is seeking a self-motivated, detail oriented and highly organized specialist in Demand Management. We seek a professional who can strongly support and reconcile both customer satisfaction and supply chain efficiency. The role is dedicated to cross functional project management and supporting different departments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Pilot the S&OP process and bring it to the 5th level of maturity. Then implement IBP.
• Behave as a S&OP Product Owner to constantly improve and customize the process to reach best in class results.
• Support Sales to raise sales forecasts. Be accountable for forecast adherence. Create scenarios and alternatives strategies.
• Propose a smooth production plan, relevant security stocks, supply changes to meet sales forecasts, budget and operational efficiency.
• Raise quantitative and qualitative supply plan to guide Procurement Team
• Pilot mass-production products introduction with Engineering and Product Owners
• Manage end of life products. Support product availability for AFTC, including product versioning management during the product life cycle
• Collaborate on the MRP and monthly schedule.
• Propose and raise KPIs to pilot the processes.
• Any other activity to support the Industrial Department

Minimum requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience within demand management
• CPIM, 6-sigma, IBF a plus
• Relevant educational and professional qualifications in support of the application is required
• Prior experience in implementing or growing and S&OP with proven results
• ERP system experience is required. Advanced level in Excel; database management and statistical analysis
• Experience working with production systems and manufacturing
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently and in teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail. Capacity to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
• Experience working in Africa with cross cultural teams is preferred
• Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
