Role Overview

Our client is looking for a junior Proposals Engineer to support the sales and technical teams in developing accurate solar energy proposals. The role sits between sales, engineering and commercial costing, turning client requirements into technically suitable and commercially viable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review client energy requirements and consumption information

• Assist with preliminary solar PV and battery system sizing

• Develop technical and commercial solar proposals

• Prepare equipment schedules, quotations and project costings

• Assist with system configuration for grid-tied, hybrid and battery solutions

• Obtain supplier pricing and ensure proposals are accurately costed

• Support the sales team with technical information

• Check proposal calculations, assumptions and documentation

• Maintain accurate proposal records and documentation

• Work closely with engineering, procurement and sales teams

Requirements

• Relevant Electrical / Renewable Energy / Engineering qualification

• Solar PV industry exposure preferred

• Understanding of solar PV, inverters, batteries and electrical systems

• Strong numerical and analytical ability

• Comfortable working with quotations, costing and technical information

• Strong Excel and general computer skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Able to work accurately under deadlines

• Good communication and administrative skills
