An international renewable energy company is looking for a technically minded engineer who enjoys using data, technology and analytical thinking to improve the performance of renewable energy assets.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who has gained experience in renewable energy consulting, technical advisory, owner's engineering, performance engineering or asset management and is looking to become more involved in the operational performance of utility-scale power plants.

You will work with operational data, SCADA systems and digital tools to optimise plant performance, support asset management activities and contribute to the integration of new renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse operational and performance data from utility-scale renewable energy assets.
• Produce technical and performance reports for internal stakeholders.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools to support data-driven decision making.
• Investigate plant performance issues and support root cause analysis.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of centralised SCADA and monitoring systems.
• Assist with CMMS administration and maintenance planning.
• Support the integration of new solar and wind assets into operational systems.
• Assist with audits, compliance reporting and operational improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to digitalisation and automation projects across the operations function.

Requirements:

• BEng or BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic or related Engineering.
• Approximately 2-5 years' experience within the renewable energy industry.
• Experience analysing the performance of utility-scale solar and/or wind projects.
• Exposure to operational data analysis, performance reporting or energy yield assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using Python (or similar programming languages) to automate or improve engineering workflows.
• Exposure to SCADA systems, data historians or monitoring platforms would be highly advantageous.
• Experience with CMMS, ERP or asset management systems is beneficial.
• Excellent written communication and technical report writing skills.
