Seeking highly experienced QA/QC Managers with depth of experience developing, implementing and monitoring QA/QC Management systems within the solar industry. This role is not site based: it is head-office based and is primarily responsible for developing the frameworks by which the EPC will deliver the projects against quality standards for six very large solar projects all being constructed at the same time. As such it requires candidates with an Engineering related background and previous experience in the solar industry (preferably with SANS/IEC 61215 and SANS/IEC 61730) - candidates with a level of practice that they do not need to self-question, but are able to move at pace, with an uncanny ability to predict risks before anyone else. It is heavily systems focused, highly administrative and requires a strong IT/Tool/Tech literacy to manage many moving parts all at once.

The projects are flagship projects within the current South African REIPPP environment, The client is a consortium of two major renewable players (one international and one local). The major shareholder running the hiring process, has depth of experience outside of South Africa and will provide guidance and support, but due to numerous other projects outside of SA, they are looking for someone who can stand on their own to deliver.

The role forms part of a hand-selected group of exceptionally experienced individuals who will deliver over 1.3GW of solar projects within a two year period. The margins are tight, the timelines are exceptionally tight, and the challenges are long.
