The Role in Context
Ensures the organisation’s full compliance with all tax obligations by managing the accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations, and proactively identifying tax risks and optimization opportunities across various jurisdictions.
Key Duties:
a) Calculate, prepare and file Income, VAT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
b) Prepares tax schedules and reconciliations for the general ledger.
c) Calculates tax provisions for financial reporting (monthly and year-end filings).
d) Supports accurate recognition of deferred and current tax in financial statements.
e) Coordinates with Tax authorities across the group & External tax advisors Coordinates with tax authorities during tax audits, reviews, or disputes.
f) Responds to tax queries and prepares reconciliations for audit teams
g) Conducts tax research and analysis on changes in tax legislation.
h) Identifies opportunities for tax savings, exemptions, or incentives.
i) Assists in modelling tax impact on new projects or business structures
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, ACCA, CIMA or other related discipline
- Bachelors' Degree, MBA, or other advanced qualification is a plus but not a requirement.
- 3+ years of sector-relevant experience, ideally in Zambia. Additional regional experience is a plus.

Time Commitment
This is a full-time role. While the standard working week is 40 hours, the ideal candidate must be willing to travel and work flexible hours to achieve GreenCo’s business objectives.
